practicing yoga off the mat.
As I bid adieu to your sweet offerings, I am grateful for the knowledge and experience you've presented to me. I opened my heart to broaden my horizons both personally and professionally. I've learned to be more adventurous, more playful and more compassionate. You taught me to savor family time and know that I am enough.
Through field trips and slowing down, I gained a deeper understanding of myself. Five minutes of silent breathing allowed more patience and compassion to parent my children. These spur of the moment adventures made me feel free and creative. With wide eyes and a hunger to learn, I sought out new yoga lineages and teachers. I listened, read and practiced. As their teachings became a part of my own practice, I then brought this new insight to my students. This year, I also started learning to speak Spanish. While I still have a ways to go, learning a new language helps break down barriers and increases compassion towards others. I grew. I loved. I breathed. I savored 2016. In order to move into 2017, we must first shine a light on our triumphs and defeats in 2016. Download this template to write your own annual love letter. Happy New Year’s.
